jApply OMC Type "A" lubricant to handle end of ropeUsing Starter Rope Threading Tool (Special Tool378774), thread rope handleSee Figure 8-10Press rope into channel in rope anchor, with end of rope butting firmly against end of channelkPress rope anchor into handle Remove knot and allow rope to wind up on pulley 1Pull the starter rope to make sure pawls work properlyWhen the starter rope is pulled, the pawls should pivot out to engage the flywheel ratchetOn releaSing the rope, the pawls should retract to their starting positions
