The remote control is simple mechanism and will be found to be relatively trouble-freeSee Figure 8-1It may occasionally be necessary, however, to disassemble the remote control to check the operation of the push button switchProceed as follows: aDisconnect batteryRemove side platebDisconnect throttle cable from control box by removing casing guide from throttle leverRemove control cable from housingcDetach remote control from boatdRemove choke switcheRemove key switchNOTE: Carefully identify all wires and terminals when removing any remote control electrical partfRemove push-button cover plate and screws attaching selector switch to housingRemove switch and disconnectleadsSee Figure 8-4gDisconnect "HOT" horn leads and remove two mounting screwshRemove throttle lever pivot screwLift throttle lever from housingSee Figure 8-2KNOB COVER,'", -PLATE
