2-6 TYPE OF GASOLINE: Use regular automotive gasolineHigher octane fuels may be used, but generally offer no advantagesNOTE: When operating in any country other than the United States or Canada, use any gasoline that will satisfactorily operate an automotive engineLUBRICANT: Use reputable Outboard 50:1 lubricant which is BIA certified for service TC-W (two cycle-water cooled)It is formulated to give best engine performance with least combustion chamber deposits, least piston varnish, maximum spark plug life, and best lubricationSee inside front coverIf our OUTBOARD LUBRICANT is not available, another BIA certified TC-W lubricant (oil) may be usedAUTOMOTIVE OILS should not be used except in emergencyIn an emergency, use SAE 30 with container marked "Service ML-MM" or "Service MM Avoid oils marked as "ML" or multi-viscosity oils such as 10W-30It should be recognized that automotive oils are formulated to fit the automotive needs and OUTBOARD LUBRICANTS are formulated for outboard motor needsFUEL MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Always use fresh gasolineWhen filling an empty tank, put approximately one gallon of gasoline into tank and add recommended amount of lubricantShake tank vigorously to insure thorough mixing, then add the balance of the gasolineFUEL MIXTURE part Lubricant to 50 parts Gasoline OR: (6 GalTank) pint lubricant to gallons (5 Imperial) of gasoline IMPORTANT: Additive compounds such as "tune-up" compounds, "toniCs," "friction reducing" compounds, etc are unnecessary and are not recommendedThe use of OMC engine cleaner and OMC rust preventive oil is recommended TYPES OF LUBRICANT
