GEAR CASE PRESSURE TEST To test gearcase sealing, proceed as follows:
1Remove drain plug and screw in pressure test gaugeSee Figure 6-13Stevens Experimental pressure test gauge illustrated
2Pump pressure up to 16-18 poundspressure
Gearcase must hold 16-18 pounds
REASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION OF EXHAUST HOUSING
aIf removed install vibration dampenersbInstall grommet and water tube in top end of housingSee Figure 6-12cAttach housing to' swivel bracket and tighten clamp screws to torque specified in Section 2dUSing new gasket, install power headFigure 6-13Gearcase Pressure Test
