Figure 6-18Trimming Gearcase Seal Attach skeg to gearcase with screws dipped in Perfect Seal #4Tighten end screws firstInstall pivot screw and gasketCheck to make sure seal is not pinched between gearcase and skegTighten the remaining screws, starting at the center and alternating from side to side progressively toward the endsTighten to torque specified in Section 2Check gearcase for freeness hApply fine bead of Sealer 1000 to gear housing, and place impeller plate in position on gearcaseInstall driveshaft in gearcaseOil impeller and slide down driveshaft aligning with impeller pinInstall impeller housing, twisting driveshaft clockwise as viewed from top to seal impeller vanes in proper direction of rotationAttach impeller housing to gearcase with screws dipped in Perfect Seal #4 and tighten to torque specified in Section 2Place new "0" ring on upper end of driveshaft
