Disconnect hoses from and filter assemblyremove fuel remove two screws attaching and filter assembly to power head, and remove and filter assemblySee Figure 3-21
CLEANINGINSPECTIONAND REPAIR
The fuel operating components not serviced separatelyIf malfunction occurs, place the complete Inspect the filter for accumulation of sediment removing the filter screw and the filter See Figure 3-21Clean parts of the filter assembly and fuel connectors in solvent and blow dryDO NOT dry parts with cloth, as lint stick to the parts and clog the passages prevent the fuel valves from seatingDissolve gummy deposits with Accessory Engine Cleaner (certain solvents will not dissolve these deposits)NOTE It is recommended that new fuel filter element and gasket installed when servicing the filter and assembly
