LOW-SPEED NEEDLE Install new packing and packing washers in sequence shown in Figure 3-10Install the low- speed needle, turning in carefully with finger pressure (use the low-speed adjusting knob for this operation) until it comes lightly against the seat, then back off 78 turnCAUTION should taken to prevent jamming the needle against the seatInstall the packing nutTighten packing nut until needle just turned under finger pressureReplace control panel assembly and attach with two screwsdAdjust the low-speed needle as described under "Carburetor Adjustments" after installing carburetor power head, and replace adjusting knobs dConnect fuel hose at carburetorConnect follower link at throttle Install starter and generator, if used, as described in Section 7Connect leads to starter, generator, and choke solenoid, if usedfInstall heat exchanger tubing and heat tube shieldgInstall starter (manual shift models only) described in Section 9
