REASSEMBLY aReassemble all components in the reverse order of disassemblyAttach remote control to boat, replace shift cable and throttle cable connections, and check adjustment of throttle cable
bRemove motor cover, and check for possible shorts between forward and reverse leads as described in Section 6, Lower Unit
cConnect voltmeter or test light the forward (green lead) knife terminal and groundTurn ignition key to "ON" position but do not start motorHave an assistant operate the forward pushbutton on the remote control, at least to 10 timesThe light or meter should indicate positive on-off operation of the switchRepeat for the reverse (blue lead) terminalSee Figure 8-5
