aReassemble bearings and shaft to distributor housingPress top bearing to shaft, using an arbor press and pressing against the inner race onlyPr ess top bearing and shaft into distributor housing, pressing against outer race onlyPress bottom bearing into place, using fixtures so that pressure is applied to the inner and outer races of both bearingsbReplace pulley, washers, and nut, and tighten nut to specified torqueUs new flat washer over the pulley to assure proper tightentingStart cam, top up, over shaft and ball assembly, place cam key into place, and press cam into pOSition over keyUse deep 9 16 inch socket to drive cam squarely on shaftcReass emble distributor housing and bracket, using new felt washers if necessaryReplace retaining rings and housing capAttach distributor to motor with screws, leaving screws loose enough to permit belt adjus tmentPla ce belt in position over pulleyCheck timing and belt tension as described under "Belt Timing"dAttach br eaker plate assembly, and checkbreaker point adjustment as described under "Breaker Point Adjustment Replace rotor, distributor cap, and linkage Be sure that the correct rotor, Part Number 580338 is usedDO NOT replace with magneto type rotor, art Number 580260Check synchronization of linkage as described under "Synchronizing Carburetor and Distributor Linkage"
