Do not disassemble the gas assisted damper assembly as it is filled with the high pressure gasNOTE Disassemblyreassembly of the gas assisted assembly must be performed with the outboard motor laying on its right sideRaise the outboard motor to the uppermost position1) Remove the gas assisted damper assembly by removing the tilting bolt cap, loosening the self locking nut, and lifting the stern bracket[20]
