1STERN BRACKET Gas Assisted Tilt Type REMOVAL
Move the tilt lever to free position to release the gas assisted damper and tilt up the outboard motorRemove the adjusting rodRemove the tilting bolt cap and loosen the 718-14UNF self-locking nut, then remove the mm self-locking nut, mm plain washer and 203 mm hexboltRemove the 718-14UNF self-locking nut and discard itReplace the self-locking nut with new one when reassemblyRemove the left stern bracket, lower cylinder collar and 22 mm wave washerRemove the tilting shaft, 22 mm wave washer, carrying handle and right stern bracketRemove the swivel case and lower cylinder bushings if necessary[21
