5) Check for continuity between the commutator and arrnature coil coreIf continuity exists, replace the armature6) Check for continuity between the commutator and arrnature shaftIf there is continuity, replace the armature STARTER MAGNETIC SWITCH
This test can be performed with the starter magnetic switch installed on the starter motorBe sure the battery is in good condition before performing this testConnect 12 battery to the magnetic switch terminals as shownThere should be continuity between the terminalsThere should be no continuity when the battery is disconnected
