7) Tiller handle type only: Spread the end of the cotter pin, and remove and discard itRemove the plain washer and disconnect the link rod from the shift shaftReplace the cotter pin with new one when reassembly 8) Remove the four 22 flange bolts and crankcase side cover and cover gasketCover the crankcase opening with clean shop towel to protect it from dirt or forcing material
