aINSPECTION CAMSHAFT AXIAL PLAY Perform this inspection with the rocker arms, rocker arm shaft, and oil pump installed1) Loosen the valve adjust lock nuts and valve adjusters fully2) Turn the camshaft so the key groove faces toward the cylinder head cover as shown

3) Measure the camshaft axial play with dial indicator by moving the camshaft and downStandard 0.050.30 Service limit

ROCKER ARMS
1) Inspect the sliding surface of the rocker arms, where they contact the camshaft, for wear or damaged2) Inspect the contact surface of the valve adjuster for wear or damage3) Measure and record the I.Dof the rocker armStandard 13.00013.018 (0.51180.5125 in) Service limit 13.04 (0.513 in)
