Adding Gear Case Oil 1) Remove the oil drain bolt, and install commercially available gear oil pump in the oil drain bolt hole
2) Remove the oil check bolt, add gear case oil until it flows out of the oil level bolt holeRecommended gear case oil API standard GL-4 or GL-5 SAE #90 outboard motor gear oil
Oil Change
OIL DRAIN BOLT 1) Place the outboard motor upright2) Remove the oil check bolt, oil drain bolt, and drain the gear case oil into suitable containerCheck for water in the drained gear case oilIf there is water in the gear case oil, check the gasket and water seal for damage and check torque at each tightening point of the gear case3) Install commercially available gear oil pump or gear oil bottle in the oil drain bolt hole
