eALERT SYSTEM These outboard motors are equipped with an alert system which protects the engine by controlling the engine speed in the ignition control moduleWhen trouble occurs, the system slows down the engine speed graduallyThe system is provided with indicator light and buzzer sound (remote control type only) to indicate the cause of trouble
Warning Buzzer Sounds (Remote Control Type)
1 Check the indicator lightsGreen (oil pressure) indicator OFF
Check the wire harness for
open or short circuitIf it is OK, replace the ignition control module
Green (oil pressure) indicator ON
Red (overheat) indicator OFF
Red (overheat) indicator ON
