3SERVICE RULES I Use genuine Honda or Honda-recommended parts and lubricants or their equivalentsParts that do not meet Honda's design specifications may damage the unit2Use the special tools designed for the product3Install new gaskets, O-rings, etcwhen assembling4When torquing bolts or nuts, begin with larger-diameter or inner bolts firstl and tighten to the specified torque diagonally, unless patticular sequence is specified5Clean parts in cleaning solvent upon disassemblyLubricate any sliding surfaces before assembly6After assembly, check all parts for proper installation and operation7Many screws used in this machine are self-tappingBe aware that cross-threading or overtightening these screws will strip the female threads and ruin the hole8Use only metric tools when servicing this unitMetric boltsl nuts and screws are not interchangeable with nonmetric fastenersThe use of incorrect tools and fasteners will damage the unit9Follow the instructions represented by these symbols when they are used
