CYLINDER COMPRESSION CHECK
ACAUTION
The ignition coil may be damaged by cranking the engine with the spark plugs removedunless the engine stop button is depressed or the coil primary terminal is otherwise groundedRemove both spark plugs and connect compression tester to the cylinder by screwing the adapter into the spark plug holeWith the throttle valve wide openand the engine stop button depressedor wire attached to ground the coil primary terminalcrank the engine several timesNote the maximum reading on the compression gaugeMeasure the compression of both cylinders STANDARD COMPRESSIONBF75 10.0 kgcm (142 Ibin1600 rpm BF100BF8A 10.6 kgcm (151 Ibin1600 rpm
