5NEUTRAL START SYSTEM
aDESCRIPTION
The neutral start system prevents the recoil starter from being operated unless the shift lever is in the "NEUTRAL" position
bCONSTRUCTION
A spring-loaded pawl blocks the recoil starter by butting against one of the four projections on the circumference of the recoil starterA cam rod, connected to the shift lever detent plate, withdraws the pawl only when the shift lever is moved to the center ("NEUTRAL") position
