bDISPOSAL 1) Set the tilt lever in the "TILT" position with the piston
rod fully extended, then remove the tilt lever2) Wrap the damper inside plastic bag and support the damper in vice as shown3) Through the open end of the plastic bag, insert drill motor with sharpmm (564 18 in) drill bit-
CAUTION The gas assisted damper contains nitrogen gas and oil under high pressureDo not drill past the reservoir top, or you may drill into the oil chamber; oil escaping under high pressure may cause serious personal injuryDo not use dull drill bit which could cause build-up of excessive heat and pressure inside the damper, leading to explosion and severe personal injuryAlways wear eye protection to avoid getting metal shaving in your eyes when the gas pressure is releasedThe plastic bag is only intended to shield you from the escaping gas4) Hold the bag around the drill motor and briefly run the drill motor inside the bag; this will inflate the bag with air from the drill motor and keep the bag from getting caught in the bit when you start
