TROUBLESHOOTING ENGINE
AHARD STARTING
Check the fuel Ie
No fuel in the tank
Add fuel and restart the engine
Loosen the carburetor drain screw to see if there is fuel in the float bowl
Fuel flow restricted
Fuel flows freely
-Check for collapsed or pinched fuel line-Check for clogged fuel tank breather hole: Close the tank and open the vent knob, listen for hiss-Check for air leaks past the primer bulbSqueeze the primer bulb and be sure that the fuel is reaching the carburetorCheck for clogged fuel filter and connector-Check fuel connectors
1 wet fouled electrode
Remove the spark plug and check for
-Fuel pump faulty -Check for clogged
carburetor
Wet with fuel
1 Attach the plug cap and ground the
electrodePull the recoil starter and check for sparksCAUTION: Do not check near the plug holeNo or weak spark Good spark
