Steering Link Arm Installation
The steering link arm must be secured between the steering plate and steering cable using the bolt, washers, nuts, and collar as shown belowBoth the bolt and the self-locking nuts, used at each end of the steering link arm, must be in good conditionTighten hardware as follows:
1, Install the bolt, washer, and collar into the link armLightly seat the lock nut against the collar then thread the bolt into the inside hole on the steering plateTighten the bolt securelyHold the bolt and tighten the self-locking nut to 13 ft-lb (18 Nm)
2Turn the steering wheel to extend the steering cable out of the steeringltilt tubeInstall the steering link arm into the steering cable endUse the hardware shown below and connect the link arm to the steering cable3Turn the steering wheel to retract the steering cable into the steeringhilt tubeTighten the self-locking nut to torque of 7-8 ft-lb (8-11 N'm) then loosen the self-locking nut turnSELF-LOCKING NUT
