CAUTION Running the outboard motor without sufficient cooling water will damage the water pump and overheat the engineBe sure that water flows from the cooling system indicator while the engine is runningIf not, stop the engine and determine the cause of the problemKeep clear of moving parts

Idle Speed
1) Run the outboard motor in an outboard test tank with the water level at least inches above the anti-ventilation plate or use the flush attachment (optionalpart) and connect fresh water supply to the WASH plug holeAllow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature(Approx10 minutes) 2) Stop the engine and remove the engine coverOn the tiller handle type, turn the throttle grip to the SLOW position3) Attach an engine tachometer and restart the engineNOTE
