BEARING Check the taper roller bearingReplace the bearing with new one if it is worn or damagedCheck the needle bearing for wear or damageReplace if necessary
cTAPER ROLLER BEARING REPLACEMENT
1) Before removing the bearing outer race, replace the jaw of the bearing race puller with the 25 mm puller jaw as shown2) Set the bearing race puller to the bearing outer race and remove the bearing outer race, then remove the 40 mm shimTOOLS: Bearing race puller Remover weight Remover handle Puller jaw, 25 mm [3] REMOVER WEIGHT [4] ATTACHMENT, 22 24 mm
3) Select the shim (P4-23)
4) Apply gear oil to the outside of new bearing outer racePlace the 40 mm shim to the gear caseDrive in the bearing outer race to the gear case with the larger I.Dside toward outTOOLS: Driver, 15 280 mm Attachment, 42 47 mm
