Shift Cable Connection Centering remote control lever: aMove remote control lever to full forward position bSlowly return control lever to neutral position cMove control lever to full reverse position dSlowly return control lever to neutral position With the outboard motor in the neutral position, make sure the shift arm tip aligns with the neutral switch tip and the detent roller is in the shift arm groove3Thread the pivot shaft onto the threaded portion of the shift cable4
Apply marine grease to the pivot pin
5Adjust the pivot shaft until it will insert into the shift linkMake sure the the pivot shaft is centered in the shift link hole, adjust by turning the pivot shaft if necessaryInstall washers on both sides of the arm and secure with the lock pin
