5Directly after completing the steering link arm and steering cable installation, verify the following:
Tie Bar Installation (dual motors)
1As previously described, install steering cable and steering link arm2
Motor turns the proper direction when the steering wheel is turned right and leftIf the steering is reversed, correct at the steering boxMotor steering angle is equal when steering wheel is turned full right and full leftIf the motor steering angles are not equal:-
Install steering plate on each motor
TORQUE: Self-locking nut, 10 1.25 mm: 25 ft-lb (34 N-m)
Major corrections can be made at the steering box (refer to the steering box or steering cable manufacturer's instructions)Minor corrections can be made by moving the steeringltilt tube laterally (refer to the Shop Manual)
