1 Assemble the outer race and the inner race of the 50 x
82 21.5 taper bearing
OUTER RACE
Measure the bearing height (distance F) from the outer race the race asand the measurement
3) Determine the calculation value using the bearing height (distance F) and the following formulaFormula: Bearing height (distance F)21.5Calculation value Example: When bearing height (distance F) is 21.55 (0.848 in)
INNER RACE
Therefore, the calculation value is 0.05 (0.002 in)4) Cross reference the calculation value and the engagement mark located the trim tab installation part of the gear case, and select the of the appropriate thickness from the shim selection table accordinglyShim table
