7SHIM SELECTION
PINION GEAR SHIM
Remove the 30 62 21.25 taper roller bearing (inner race) if it is mounted on the vertical shaft (I? 12-30)1) Wipe the tapered part of the vertical shaft and pinion gear

with shop towel and degreasing cleaning solvent2) Install the pinion gear on the veartical shaft and tighten the

pinion gear nut to the specified torque
131 VERTICAL SHAFT
TORQUE: 132 Nmm (13.5 kgfim, 98 Ibf4-t)
Do not install the vertical shaft in the gear caseWe recommend that you attach the special tool (vertical shaft holder) at the end of the vertical shaft to facilitate tightening of the pinion gear nut to the specified torque (I? 12-25)
