ALERT SYSTEM
OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
OIL PRESSURE TEST
1) Check the engine oil level (P3-2)2) Disconnect the oil pressure switch and remove it
3) Install pressure gauge attachment (special tool) on an oil pressure gauge that has scale calibrated to maximum of 196490 kPa (2kgfcm2, 2871 psi) to the outboard motorCAUTION: Tigten the gauge attachment to N-m (0.9 kgf-m, 6.5 Ibfeft)Overtightening will damage the threads4) Remove the propeller (P12-11Run the outboard motor in test tank with the water level at least inches above the antiventilation plate
OIL PRESSURE GAUGE ATTACHMENT 07406-0030000
A the engine warm to normal operating temperature5) Check the oil pressure with the engine speed at 750 50 miwl (rpm)It should be 98137 kPa (1.01.4 kgfcm2, 1420 psi)
