MIL comes on but it does not blink by short-circuitng with the service check connectorMIL stays on with the service check connector short-circuitedWhen there is an open in the service check wire and failure occurred, the MIL comes on but it does not blink by shortcircuiting the service check connector1)Turn the ignition switch ON2) Connect the SCS short connector to the service check connector (P.5-513) Check the number of blinks of the MIL
Is the MIL blinking?
Perform each of the inspections according to the Troubleshooting Guide (P5-10)
TEST HARNESS
nector from the service check connector2) Check whether the engine startsDoes the engine start?
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF2) Connect the test harness to the ECM and the connectorNote that the test harness sensor connector must be disconnected this time3) Turn the ignition switch ON4) Measure the voltage between the test box's positive (+) A14 terminal and the negative (-1 A34 terminal
