Assembly 1Install the piston rings (oil ring, second ring and
top ring in this order) in the piston with the markings on the ring facing upward2Install the piston to the connecting rod with the piston pin and lock the pin with the pin clipsNoteAlways use new piston pin clips
3Install the two bearings to the crankshaft journals
4Apply thin coat of oil to the piston rings, and install the pistons in the cylinder block from the head attaching side
Make sure that the piston ring gaps are not in the directions of arrows shown in the figureInstall the piston so that the valve recess on the top is toward the manifold side(Fig3-74) Use of the piston slider (Tool No07958-9210000) will make the job easier
