5Remove the return spring and remove the starter ratchets from the starter pulley 6Remove the starter pulley and remove the recoil starter spring, collar and friction spring from the starter case
Inspection
1Check the condition of the starter rope and replace it if frayed
2Replace the recoil starter spring if it is broken
3Replace the starter ratchets if the pawl is worn or damaged
