Brush Measure the brush length If the brush length is less than the service limit, replace the brush holder assemblyStandard 10 mm (0.4 in) Service limit
6 mm (0.2 in)
Armature 1) Check the armature for wear or damageReplace if necessary2) Visually inspect the commutator surface for dust, rust or other damageIf necessary, wipe it with clean lint-free cloth or dress with fine emery cloth
3) Measure the mica depth If the grooves are clogged, clean the grooves and measure the depth again If the measurement is less than the service limit, replace the armatureService limit
