4VALVE GUIDE REPLACEMENT
1) Chill the replacement valve guides in the freezer section of refrigerator for about an hour2) Use hot plate or oven to heat the cylinder head evenly to 100150C (210300F) Check the temperature with thermometer (available at welding supply stores) or equivalent
I NOTICE I
Do not use torch to heat the cylinder headwarpage of the cylinder head may resultDo not get the head hotter than 150C (300F)excessive heat may loosen the valve seats
3) To avoid burns, wear heavy gloves and remove the heated cylinder head from the hot plate 4) Support the cylinder head with wooden blocks Drive the valve guides out of the head from the combustion chamber side
