CAMSHAFT AXIAL PLAY
Perform this inspection with the rocker arms, rocker arm shaft, and oil pump installed
KEY GROOVE
1) Loosen the valve adjust lock nuts and valve adjusters fully 2) Turn the camshaft so the key groove faces toward the cylinder head cover as shown3) Measure the camshaft axial play with dial indicator by moving the camshaft up and down Standard 0.050.30 mm (0 .0020.012 in) Service limit 0.40 mm (0.016 in)
ROCKER ARMS
1) Inspect the sliding surface of the rocker arms, where it contacts the camshaft, for wear or damage 2) Inspect the contact surface of the valve adjuster for wear or damage3) Measure and record the I.Dof the rocker arm Standard 13.00013.018 mm (0 .51180.5125 in) Service limit 13.04 mm (0 .513 in)
