BFBO-BFS.SC 1) Clean off oil or grease from the spline section of the vertical shaft lower end and pinion gear 1.02) Install the forward bevel gear to the gear case 3) Install the vertical shaft into the gear case 4) Install the pinion gear shim, and thrust washer and pinion gear5) Install new E-clip with cham fered edges facing the pin ion gear, using commercially available snap ring installer taking care not to bend or deform the E-clip Do not reuse the removed E-clip 6) Install the following:water pump (P4-16)propeller shaft holder (P4-8)propeller (P4-2) 7) Install the gear case assembly (P4-10)
