R SVERTICAL
BUSHING
bINSTALLATION
1) Install the two 10 mm dowel pins on the gear case 2) XL type only: Apply marine grease to the inside of the
WATER PUMP HOUSING GROMMET
vertical shaft bushing and set the two 10 mm dowel pins on the extension separatorSet the extension separator onto the gear case3) Apply marine grease to the following position :
spline of the vertical shaftinside of the water tube seal
EXTENSION SEPARATOR
4) Install the gear case assembly by aligning the vertical
shaft spline with the crankshaft, and water tube with the water tube seal5) Loosely install the mm flange bolts or mm self-locking nuts6) Tighten the mm flange bolts or mm self-locking nuts in crisscross pattern in 2-3 steps to the specified torque
