These outboard motors are equipped with an alert system which protects the engine by contro lling the engine speed in the ignition control moduleWhen trouble occurs, the system slows down the engine speed graduallyThe system is provided with an indicator light and buzzer (remote contro type only) to indi cate the cause of trouble
- Warning Buzzer Sounds (Remote Control Type)
I Check the indicator lights
Green (oil pressure) indicator OFF
Green (oil pressure) indicator ON
Red (overheat) indicator OFF Perform troubleshooting on page 2-22
Red (overheat) indi cator ON
Check the wire harness for open or short circuitIf it is OK, replace the ignition contro module
