CSecure exhaust tube to spacer plate with four (4) slotted hex screws and torque to 70 in Ibs(80 kg cm) DInstall exhaust tube seal on exhaust tube4Install power head to motor leg as followsAApply sealant to sealing surface of motor leg Figure 57 Special Tool NoT 8983 7Install cylinder drain cover assembly as follows: AInstall gasket (cylinder drain reed plate), reed plategasket (cylinder drain cover)then cylinder drain coverBSecure assembly to power head with six (6) screwsCApply sealant to threads of fitting Special Tool No 2962- 1Install fitting on cover and position barb at 12 o'clock

BInstall power head on motor legCEngage crankshaft with driveshaft by gently turning propeller while engine is in forward or reverse gearDSecure power head to motor leg with lockwashers anq six (6) screws (three [3] on each side of spacer plate)and with six (6) stop nuts and plain washers on studs (on under side) 5Install gearshift arm and interlock cam Secure with nut6Install transfer port covers as follows: Figure 58 AInstall gasketsBInstall upper transfer port coverClnstall bottom transfer port cover with bracket
