plug holeTurn engine over by hand several times to distribute the oilThis will lubricate the pistonsrings and cylinder walls and expel water from the cooling systemReinstall spark plugs 5Drain and refill lower gear housing as outlined under "Lubrication Points" 6Lubricate all moving parts as outlined underLubrication Points"7Clean exterior of engine Apply marine-type wax to protect the finish and prevent rust or corrosion 8Remove propeller and apply coating of 2987-1 Anti-Seize Compound on propeller shaftReinstall propeller9Store engine in an upright position in dry, wellventilated area Preparation for Use After StorageTo prepare the motor for use after it has been in storage, proceed as follows1Remove spark plugs Clean or replace as required 2Check lubricant in lower gear housing 3Lubricate all moving parts as outlined underLubrication Points" 4Clean exterior of engine Apply marine-type wax to protect the finish5Check condition of battery6Follow standard operating procedures owner's Registration Card for validityTune-ups are not covered under warranty Before going ahead with the tune-up, check your service bulletin collection for possible changes andor tips that apply to this motorTune-Up Check ListCheck the motor visually for any obvious damageConsult the troubleshooting chart for aid in diagnosingBegin systematic tuneup procedure as follows :
