2Inspect power trim cylinder assembly as follows :
AClean all parts in approved solvent8 Inspect cylinder, piston and bore in cover for wearClnspect seals (piston shaft seal, piston sealand cylinder seal) for dirt, nicks, cracking or other damage3Check shock absorber for leaks, damage
Shock absorber must be replaced as an assembly4Check to see that hydraulic lines and fittings are not bent or damagedReassembly and InstallationCylinder Housing Assembly
1Reassemble power trim cylinder as follows :

8 Inspect O-rings for chips, dirt or cutsClnspect bushing in eye of cylinderDInspect head, piston assemblies for wearECheck piston and shaft assemblyIf shaft is not tight in piston, remove shaft and clean threaded end Apply Loctite to threads, Special Tool NoT 2962; and screw shaft into piston Figure 32
