In next stepuse tool with blunt rim that will seat on disc Remove driveshaft seal and water pump centering disc from pump body by driving disc out from inside pump bodyInspection and RepairReplacement parts for the water pump are available individually or in kit form The water pump kit includes new body, sealsimpeller, pin and backplate Inspect and repair the following :
1Inspect water pump impeller, replace if vanes are damaged or worn 2Clean pump body and backplate in solvent 3Inspect pump body and water pump backplate for wear or pittingreplace if excessive Reassembly and InstallationFigure 7Removing Gear Housing
