AInstall pivot bolt on starboard stern bracketInstall one friction washer on boltBPut pivot bolt through swivel bracketPlace other friction washer on boltCLine up port stern bracket and push bolt through bracket DSecure bolt with nutEInstall lock bar4Install steering support tube as follows: AThread one nut on threaded end as far in as it will go Slide unthreaded end of steering tube through port stern bracketBSlide tube through starboard stern bracket and adjust nut until unthreaded end of tube is flush with port stern bracketFigure 43C.lnstall other nut on tube Torque to 65 ft Ibs(8.965 kgm) Figure 41Securing Reverse Lock Link EEngage reverse lock with stern bracket lock barAdjust reverse lock position by tightening nut until there is no clearance in reverse lock handle Tighten nut 1 turn more3Install stern brackets as followsFigure 42
