Two (2) smaller hex nuts securing starter relay leads do not have to be removed6Remove ground cable from block 7Disconnect voltage regulator by removing three (3) screws securing regulator to power head
OVERHAUL NOTE
Steps below cover removal and complete disassembly of the power headIt is easier to remove as many components as possible before the power head is pulled(To remove power head and remove as few components as possible, omit steps in this section under Removal, Cover Assemblies) RemovalElectrical Components
Leads do not have to be removed8Disconnect choke solenoid by remov ing green lead wire9Disconnect interlock switch as follows :

ARemove two (2) screws securing interlock switch
to bracketBPull interlock switch with leads attachedunder carburetors to port side 10Disconnect thermoswitch by removing oran ge lead11 Free C-D unit and coil by removing three (3) nuts securing C-D unit to power head 12Free distributor as follows :
