CARBURETORS
GENERAL
This subsection describes the adjustment, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of the carburetors Fuel enrichment is controlled by calibration of the choke shutter plate The shutter plate may contain areas open to atmosphere or the top half may be spring hinged to open during heavy vacuum Either method can raise or lower the suction at the discharge ports increasing or reducing fuel delivered depending on open areas or hinge spring tension Figure 1
