BInstall clutch and shift pin on propeller shaft and secure with spring pinCInstall thinnest forward thrust washer available on forward end of prop shaft, part number 2087, which is .056 thick IApply downward force on prop shaft and rotate 90 to set forward bearing in bearing cup
JSet dial indicator to "0"KPull up on prop shaft with as much force as possibleNote and record dial indicator reading Repeat this procedure several times
The correct end float is .005.001" The end float is controlled by the thickness of the forward thrust washerThere are eleven (11) different thicknesses of washers availableRefer to the parts book for part number and sizes available Dlnstall forward gear assembly on propeller shaft
LDetermine thickness of thrust washer required as
shown below:
