DO NOT spin bearing cones with compressed airThe cage will explode, causing injury1Visually inspect propeller shaft for obvious wear or distortion around clutch slot and propeller pin holeRemove sharp burrs or nicks with fine file or emery cloth check spline for cracks
Do not remove excessive metal from shaft2Inspect front bearing for wearIf wear is notedbearing cup must be removed from housing Remove cup as follows:
