FRemove pin and rewind starter spring 7-1to turns counterclockwise (as viewed from top) .Align pinion gear slot with hole in both spool shaft and starter spring arborInsert pinion pin partially through parts mentioned above Hold end of pin and remove starter rewind key from arborPush pinion pin in gear so that equal contact is made on both sides of drive groove on gearInstall screw at top of arbor to retain pin 7Install starter interlock Place interlock lever on interlock shaft with ears pointing up and toward pinion gearAdjust interlock leve as followsAShift engine in neutral positionBPush and hold interlock shaft all the way down in lower starter bracket Rotate starter pinion gea fully downward and take up starter spool end play
