3Disconnect lead wires from coil and condenser from breaker point4Remove breaker point from statorInstallationTo install breaker points to stator plate, proceed as follows: 1Position breaker poin on stator plateDo not tighten mounting screws at this time 2Connect condenser and coil lead wires to breaker point3Adjust breaker point as outlined belowAdjusting Breaker Point GapTo adjust point gap, proceed as follows1Reinstall knock-off nut on crankshaft and turn crankshaft in clockwise irection until follower arm of breaker point is approximately 10 past top of ramp on cam (top of ramp on cam is point at which further crankshaft or cam rotation produces no greater breaker point opening) Once correct adjustment point is foundmark that spot on cam for adjusting other breaker point2Adjust breaker pOint opening to .020Repeat above procedure for other breaker point set3Rotate engine after setting points two revolutions and recheck breaker point gapsFigure 14Stator Hold Down Screw Locations STATOR PLATE
