2Connect analyzer small black lead to adapter black input terminal3Connect analyzer large red lead to the secondary coil lead 4Connect adapter red test lead to either primary coil terminal5Connect adapter black test lead to remaining primary coil terminal6Make sure current control knob is onLO ", and turn selector knob toCOIL POWER TEST" position7Slowly turn current control knob clockwise unt il meter pointer shows 1.5 on theCOIL POWER TEST" scale At this time, the spark gap should be firing steadily 8Return the current control knob toLOand turn selector knob toOFF"If spark gap was firing steadilythe coil is goodLeave the tester connected and test th coil highspeed If spark gap was not firing stead ilyreplace the coil Figure 8Sparkle Cover and Spring
